no I didn't hear anything about the new album yet, but It seems like he's about due for one. The last one was good and I enjoyed it, but I'm sure he'll top it because it seemed a bit of a commercial let down although I don't know for sure. I'm almost hoping he gives us another "World Gone Wrong" type of album and a full length of originals. Oh well, I'll be happy with any new material.

Yep! Plus, Portland has tons of great musicians that either tour here, or live here. There's a huge folk and new-psychedelic scene. Devendra Banhart lives here, for example.

You should! It's really nice to be able to be smackdab in the middle of a city, and then ten minutes away you're in the middle of a deep forest. It's very comforting and tranquil.

I've been to Vegas, and I can't say I liked it one bit. It's filled way too much with materalism and shallow sex. Come to Portland! You'd probably love it there. I'm moving from Santa Barbara, California to Portland this September and I couldn't be more excited. The place is overrun with hippies, especially around Hawthorne.

Possibly! Music, at least seems to be heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and folk lately. Freak folk, stoner rock, new-psychedelic and all these new genres have cropped up in the last half decade. I can take that as a good sign, at least musically. It also seems like I've run across more neo-hippies than ever before.

Am glad things are working for you now :) We are still wondering in the forum, if it was something we all did, or if staff is messing about on the back end. Sometimes they are performing back end maintenance, without our knowledge and weird things will temporarily occur.
