Do you have some great Symphonic Black Metal bands to recommend me ? ;D

Nah, don't like 'em. I can't stomach any Deathcore or Metalcore at all, aside from a few Trivium songs. Actually, I can't really get into any of the new wave American metal bands :D

The Red Wings 30 in 30 team preview is today :) Now let's hope that there isn't a lock out!

For Symphony X-like progressive metal, you can maybe try Suspyre, Adagio, and Redemption (latest 2 albums). For the Dream Theater style, you can try Dreamscape from Germany (2004-2007 stuff). They're probably the biggest DT clone ever, even the singer sounds the same, but I actually like their arrangements more and find them more accessible. You can also try Communic (sounds like more melodic/progressive version of Nevermore), Seventh Wonder (has Kamelot's new singer), or Sci-Fi themed bands such as Anubis Gate & Pagan's Mind. Also, the band Soen is the biggest Tool clone ever, not sure if you like them or not, but figured I'd mention them :D

Yeah, Cradle are pretty fast at releasing albums. Seems like just a couple months ago that DDVA was released. A couple more bands you might like...Riul Doamnei and Kråke. Both are major Dimmu Borgir clones, but good ones at that. And if you ever need any more recommendations, just let me know. I'm familiar with a lot of Symphonic black, Gothic, Doom, Power/Traditional, Progressive, and Folk bands, however, I don't know a whole lot of Death, Thrash, or -Core related bands.

Also, Capitollium doesn't really sound like Cradle, but their first 2 albums are nice Symphonic BM with lots of organ playing on them. Mysteriarch is an American band that plays really Melodic black metal with nice melodies, and Ancient Ceremony is really gothy sounding band that has a similar atmosphere to older Cradle, but doesn't really sound like them musically. Their first 2 albums are their best work, particularly their 2nd album (click and click). Hopefully you'll find something you like in there ;)

Hey Tim, how are ya? Well, Cradle's new album is still scheduled for release in October, so you can listen to that XD But until then, hmm let's see. Do you know of Thorns of Ivy? They sound quite a bit like newer Cradle at times. Draconian Order is a band I just discovered recently, they're Symphonic Black Metal with some Gothic overtones, sometimes a bit like Cradle or Ceremonial Castings. Castrum (from Croatia) also has some early Cradle influences on their 1st album.

Yeah, it's pretty cool; the intro track to the new album uses the same sounds too. I think the bonus track is supposed to be symphonic as well. Maybe they'll pull a Fleshgod turnaround sometime, loool

Sadly, this is the only track with symphonic elements, but I figured you'd enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlMsWdZtsB8

Om mig

Tim Murdello.
Being repressed when it comes to music is boring.
I have many different tastes when it comes to music.
Ranges from black/death metal to pop/rap to 50's/80's.
Hell, even Dubstep.
Symphonic black metal & Melodic black metal = life.
Technical death metal is amazing as well.
I'm addicted to good keyboardists, usually females.
Female vocalists as well, if they can pull it off.
I can't stand elitists.
It's JUST MUSIC, leave people alone.
I also can't stand people who think they know real music.
So I guess I am a semi-elitist.
But I'm very laid back and don't give two shits, usually.
I have the balls to say who's talented or not.
I enjoy plenty of shitty music because it's fun.
