Lost Kingdom album release

The time has finally come for the release of the anticipated Lost Kingdom album As The New Dawn Awakes; the duo's most ambitious and polished production to date.

It started back in 2006; just a few days after the final touches were made to the demo Shrouds of Victory. Eager to get their next musical project started, the brothers came up with the idea about a tribute to Mother Earth. They immediately begun composing, and one of the first pieces to form was the romantic, orchestral piece In Heaven, which later on was chosen to represent Lost Kingdom on Radio Rivendell Compilation (2007). Another early work, arranged for big orchestra and piano, was Under a clouded sky. Both tracks were made available on the Lost Kingdom official homepage and MySpace early on in the production process, and have served to let people get a feeling for what to expect from the album.

2007 was frantic. Daniel & Mikael Tjernberg, both being perfectionists, worked day and night to get every little thing just the way they wanted. At times it seemed hopeless, with the enormous amount of time being spent on large scores such as that of As the New Dawn Awakes and Birth of a Sun in tandem with the deadline that was set for January 2008. But somehow it all started to come together as a whole in late 2007, and all ten tracks was basically finished by the turn of the year. But it wasn't until Lost Kingdom negotiated a month-long postponement of the deadline that they actually could say that the album would meet their high standards, and when the time eventually came for them to deliver the goods; they were indeed very satisfied with the end result.

Mastered by Simon Heath of Za frûmi fame, the master disc was sent to the planting factory in early March, and the following wait was very long and difficult. But on April 1st a long and demanding journey reached its end, and it proved to have paid off. Being the first Lost Kingdom release to be backed up by Waerloga Records, As The New Dawn Awakes is the duo's most ambitious and polished production to date.
