btw, a while ago I read your comment on Bowies song "Up The Hill Backwards" and after that, I couldn't stop hearing the Muppets singing along with Bowie, singing those misheard lyrics! haha! good times

I like you! Your shout on Bowie's "Fantastic Voyage" is gutsy, inspiring and funny. By way, I saw you like Mongoloid; have you heard this version? http://archive.wfmu.org:5555/archive/BL/BL_Popchor_Berlin_-_Mongoloid.mp3

No problem, everybody's busy. Thanks for trying to work out which Tom Waits album to buy as a start to a collection. I checked Wikipedia and found that 'Bone Machine' won a Grammy for best alternative album. So i will start with that one. It was also on your list, so it seems appropriate. As for 'Spotify', i haven't heard of it and can't find any reference to it -yet. Oh, Waits is also a very good actor, i have 'Down By Law' and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for all your help....Karl

Hello Byrn, i agree with you, Bowie's "TMWSTW" is an underrated album. I have read and would not be surprised, that it is a quality precursor to "Metal" music, like Black Sabbath's. I remember buying "Young Americans" when it came out in 1975, and thinking that he copped out to American commercialism. But i found myself listening to it and liking it none the less. If Captain Beefheart did go on tour, i would definatly want to see him as well; but i expect he's still too busy with art and painting. Actually i wouldn't mind owning one of his paintings i think they are brilliant. One strange thing is that i don't own any Tom Waite's albums, i have to get some. Could you recommend me some? I only have videos of him at interviews and find him very funny, he's a good comedian.......Karl.

Well I have to be boring and say that I find all his work important. Bowies "Reality" album is one of my faves at the moment, but I also love "Earthling". The "Deram Years - 1966 to 1968", I also love. I am not going to mention his albums from the 1970's, because they are all classics! By the way; I don't get a chance to listen to Captain Beefheart very often, but when I do, he still blows me away. The guy and his bands are brilliant! What are your fave Bowie albums?

Hi Byrn, how is it all going? I have been busy collecting more cd's from various artists, especially David Bowie. I happened to notice that you're listening to him now, it's a small world. Karl.
