I just signed on here to see if you had heard it. I think it's amazing. I was pulled into it as soon as Démonarque played. How's that Gogol Bordello?

It does sound more upbeat. New Portugal. The Man is out, too. Evil Friends. I've enjoyed it a whole lot more than In the Mountain in the Cloud. Probably more then American Ghetto. I don't think there's a song on it that I don't enjoy.

I knew I hadn't heard anything about them coming before. It does suck that I missed it. Yeah, for the foreseeable future. Florida became uninhabitable for me due to a multitude of circumstances. Did you listen to Silencing Machine by Nachtmystium? I don't know how you felt about Addicts, but they definitely went pre-Addicts, back to a more black metal sound, I think.

Lame, I'm missing it. I'm right near Nashville, at the moment. Let me know how it is. I don't remember them ever being in Florida.

We talked about Noah Gundersen sometime ago. He released another EP somewhat recently called Family if you didn't know.

What is Sleigh Bells and why are you seeing them live so much? Also, Alcest and Deafheaven? Pretty spectacular.

New Leviathan is out there. After I heard about it, I looked Leviathan up to see what it was about and came across this: "Jef Whitehead was charged with criminal sexual assault and aggravated domestic battery on 9 January 2011 and held on $350,000 bond after allegedly attacking his girlfriend and raping her with tattoo tools." Tattoo tool rape is pretty kvlt.

That's funny, I just jumped on last.fm to see if you'd heard them yet. Excellent stuff.

I'm trying to make it to two of the shows you're attending. Opeth and Manchester Orchestra. I missed the latter last time they were nearby.

Will checkout Whirl. How is the new Pensées Nocturnes? I've heard a single review, and it wasn't really a review. It was: "I haven't listened to it yet, but I hear it sucks, but I don't want to decide until I listen to it. Anyway, here it is!"

Russia by Ramona Falls is such a great song. Have you ever listened to The Flying Luttenbachers? I'm listening to their latest release now, and it's lovely. I'm not sure how to describe the sound, but it's comparable to some of the music that Omar, Zach Hill, and Lightning Bolt have produced. That noisy, freejazz, experimental type stuff. ATGH posted up their discography not too long ago. I'm not sure if you're familiar with that blog, so here it is: http://alltimegreatesthits.baywords.com/

I haven't. I saw it posted up at a few places, but never checked it out. I will now, though, upon your recommendation. That's cool that Zach Hill's in it.

I don't know if you checked out all of the Omar albums that fell during the second half of 2010, but the last of them, Un Escorpion Perfumado, is worthwhile.
