First and formost, check out Earth 2. It isn't my favorite by them, but it's legendary and influential, and one hell of a listen. Pentastar used to be my favorite too. But I'd honestly work your way through their discography.

Also did you know/like/recognize any of the dark-ambient-neoclassical acts I listed? :P

The Alvaret Ensemble - on it ;). First track is pretty strange already aha. Mouse on the Keys - hmm pretty good! But I think Hiromi knocks them out of the water. Did you enjoy that? lol I just sent Jason this comment in regards to Hiromi: "Oh the faces, some of which I think might match oh faces. OH. OH MAN. I just found out THAT project of hers includes David Fiuczynski of Screaming Headless Torsos. lol"

Agreed. // Ouch...That changes nearly every day. I think I've had a phase for every Earth album where I declared it the best, but I'm torn. What about you?

Well, thanks. How about that new Gridlink album? Pretty fucking amazing. Sucks they broke up.

I've known them for a long time and I've listened to odd tracks here and there but I can't remember anything and don't know why I never gave them a proper listen.

Die Tatsache, dass du das so kurz nach meinem Abo-Ablauf schon bemerkt hast, spricht für sich. :>

Glad you liked it. Guess what? It's a solo project! Can you believe it?

    You should try Aquilus ;)

So true! Eric tipped me off to Sigh. I started with Imaginary Sonicscapes and fucking loved it. It is sooooo dense with elements and layers to pick apart. Then I went to try an additional album from their discog, and randomly chose Gallows Gallery. I didn't like that album. So I kind of forgot about Sigh until Jason brought up they are releasing a new album this year! He encouraged me to try other albums. So glad I picked the music back up. My reaction to In Somniphobia.

I guess it was mostly the fact that their band name is a bug lol. I would love to hear insect music as you described though, ESPECIALLY if you could get a sound/effects/instruments/techniques down that provokes mental imagery of insects.

Watch this :D. It's hard to say what the concept is about and it is definitely not scientific, but it is a lot of fun. :)

"I'd thought about creating a grindcore album and the lyrics are all scientific descriptions of insects and their ultra-cool battle skills. Shame that I don't have an inch of musical talent. " <<---- yes please do this ;P. Ever check out The Locust? Also about Japanische Kampfhörspiele --- yes check out their newest album AND the one that has evil Bert from Sesame Street on it! You didn't have that scrobbled last time I checked.

btw how much of a Japanische Kampfhörspiele fan are you? Everyone I tried to introduce them to just doesn't love it the same way I do. *shrug* They really excited me when I first found them, and still do. No other grindcore band quite like them, especially those quirky vocals.

:) :) :) oh I think your English is fine! haha I didn't immediately realize you were from Germany, so I initially read your shout in my head in the voice of Skwisgaar of the Metalocalypse, but I think he is Swedish not German; he makes words plural that should not be. That shout you wrote was beautiful. I could read that over a few times. :) I like learning meaningful phrases like that from other countries. I inserted the phrase into google translate and used that handy button that speaks the words, so I see what you mean about the word pronunciation of Wohlgefallen. "The problem simply dissolves into utter satisfaction like oxygen in water and contentedness remains."<- love that! It is a nice calming phrase to consider, I bet, in times of anxiety. &also a tidbit to clear up the term "poetic" doesn't necessarily mean literally poetry writing pieces (commonly even English speakers mistaken this), but possesses quality of beauty/charm/allure.

How comes you say comes? Metalacolypse reference? :P // 2 more of my favorites: Limerence and nimbus.

Generally when you think of a poetic use of words you think of the right combination of words in a sentence or poem or group together of some sort, but I think just a word by itself in addition to it's definition can be poetic. I like the way qualia sounds and what it means. Qualia is relatable to artists, and I am one (visual, and someday I'll pick the piano back up), and I think it works well when discussing music too - a reminder that your conclusion on a piece of music is your own individual perception, not an absolute universal truth. Do you have any favorite words?

It's just not one I generally rush to chuck on, but I still love it.
