"Like I said, I won't spoon-feed you" Are you a total idiot? You just spoon-fed me some bands. Thanks for the pointless conversation. I really don't give a sh*t about checking out these bands.

Like I said, I won't spoon-feed you, listen to those bands, get an idea of how actual black/grind sounds like and then make up your own judgement. besides, black/grind in itself isn't as well-known or played as war metal is, hence there aren't much bands playing it. The Secret and Knelt Rote also come to mind however, and again, they're very different from most War Metal bands. This will be my last comment, I gave you enough examples so far, investigate yourself and make up your own mind, listen to them and notice the differences, it's not my duty to clear things up for you.

"I really don't understand why you keep asking the differences when it's as simple as getting on youtube, writing "Absvrdist, Chronocide, Monge" and then just listen and notice the similarities " because citing only three bands hardly distinguishes an entire sub-genre of a sub-genre from another one, particularly when you can't articulate the distinction.

Impaled Nazarene definetely had an influence in the creation of War Metal, yes, just like Beherit, in fact the early Finnish BM scene had quite a bit of grind influence. And again you're missing the point, I had previously stated war metal has a sound of it's own, that is, a thick and dirty guitar tone, simplistic, blast beat based drumming, deep growled or snarled vocals and a chaotic atmosphere. Like i've been saying, listen to Absvrdist, I really don't understand why you keep asking the differences when it's as simple as getting on youtube, writing "Absvrdist, Chronocide, Monge" and then just listen and notice the similarities between those 3 bands and the very notorious difference with most War Metal bands, I won't spoon-feed you. And no, just stop, Chronocide doesn't sounds like Blasphemophagher, Absvrdist doesn't sound like Archgoat, Monge isn't like Black Witchery. Sure, their roots are the same but their differences are too obvious to group them under such a loose term.

Also, musical sub-genres are expansive. Just because they don't sound alike doesn't mean they have almost nothing in common. If you put such a tight lid on genres with these strict labels, bands would probably never push genre boundaries because then they would be outsiders in the scene, and it would hinder creativity.

Impaled Nazarene has albums that is a mix of Black & Grind/Death so are they "War Metal", particularly as have nuclear warfare themed lyrics, or they Black/Grind? Until you state the difference between War Metal and Black/Grind/Death (lyrical differences and image don't make a genre) I am not convinced.

Lol are you seriously taking Metal Archives' classification as authority? I recognize it's value as a research tool and one of the best ways to find new bands but please, taking MA's word as authority is stupid, that site is full of miscategorized bands, and it's understandable for the sake of keeping it orderly. But Belphegor or Behemoth have almost nothing in common with Blasphemy, Archgoat or Blasphemophagher, and they're still classified as black/death in MA, again bands such as Darkthrone and Varathron have nearly nothing in common, still categorized as black metal, the examples could go on but I think you get the point. Again, check out Absvrdist or Chronocide for some actual black/grind. Like it or not War Metal has become a legitimate genre with a fair enough amount of bands and an esthetic of it's own. And finally, you are giving a shit, so either stop commenting or stop pretending you don't care, because you do, that's why you're still replying.
