I don't know that you can explain a music genre's appeal; at least not such that you'll change anyone's mind. I could talk about the hypnotic aspect of the slow, catchy, blues-scale riffs and all that bollocks, but you either get it or you don't, in the end. You've made your lame little statement now, so it's probably best to just fuck off and let these giddy stoners laugh their asses off at an insult that wasn't even that funny.

homogeek...perfect description for him...anyway, qotsa is not stoner...fuckin labels man....their production and composition is just too pretty to be stoner, or even desert(although, some would say it's the same thing, but it's not...) what's interesting in this genre is that half of these bands are amaaaaaazing, and the other half are just posers trying to look cool, and they're disgusting....adn some are just in the middle....i mean, look at pigmey love circus for instance...the music is great, but the vocal is so lame, like some pissed-off redneck who beats his wife and their 9 children in a trailer park...revolting
