So again, what the heck does this idiotic term mean? "It stands for any rock music that comes from Japan, they have such a distinctive sound, blablabla"! *brain explodes* Oh yes, now I know: THERE IS NO THING SUCH AS J-ROCK! It's a term invented and used by morons, who can't understand that music has no nationality.

"J-Rock" is short for Japanese rock" - then why isn't Brazilian rock called B-rock, French punk as F-punk, Norwegian metal as N-metal or Canadian rap as C-rap? 2. "Jrock bands have very distinctive sound" - Can anyone explain me at least one detail? If yes don't you mean that they sound poppier? It’s called "pop rock"! Also under this stupid tag I usually see pop-rock bands who are mostly known for making opening songs for popular anime like Bleach. Or some visual kei bands, that all sound usually the same. So is that what you mean by saying "Jrock", that most of it tends to sound cheesy? Because I've often seen some idiots saying that with such a way it sounds "more Japanese". WTF? I'd unterstand if it was said about decent rock with Japanese traditional instruments incomposed, but srsly! Also rock music existed in Japan already in the 60s so will u label them as "jrock" too?
