"Yeah but Neofolk is just a bunch of Nazis who've read too much Neitzche" Anyone who has actually read Nietzche would know thathis philosophy i actually incompatible with that of the Nazi's and that they simply adopted a distorted version of his ubermeist theory. Nietzche would have been disgusted by the conformity required by the Nazi mentality. He'd have actually probably liked indie music if it existed then, since he encouraged individualism and breaking from herd conformity.

I will take for granted, there are a brief few (though moreso associated with martial industrial music) that show a strong dedication to the art and culture of WWII era war-time Europe, but even then if you show an interest in the art does not automatically make you a Nazi. Frankly, I have yet to hear one artist that isn't a punk band that displays Nazi colors in an pessimistic way towards other beliefs and especially races.

Calling neofolk in general a genre for a bunch of Nazis is proof you know nothing of the subculture because many of the big names have a stance against it. Sonne Hagal for one, whom made an aggressive lash towards the belief. This is simply a case similar of calling MDC a bunch of racists just because they have a KKK member on one of their album covers.
