"Battle Metal" just like Viking Metal refers to thematic elements of the music..."Melodic Death Metal" and the 'real' genres refer to the stylistic genre. So I don't see what the debate is about, all music has thematic and stylistic characteristics! [2]

all tags doesn't need to be genres.. tags are used to describe music and this tag is good for that [2]

folk is a Sub-genre just like any other band and turisus actually picked up the microphone stand like a sword on stage and said they are the only battle metal band period. every other band can be whatever they want. but manowar is NOT battle metal they are Crap metal...so in that case i cant reason with that logic XD
