Famous Dead Musicians/Artists and Causes of Death (Pt 1, Age 16-36)

This is an article in which I tried to bundle all the great losses of rock'n roll and modern music. That means all the musicians which are worldwide known and died at young age (before 51 years old). I tried to give a little information about the way they died. Most of the information I got from Wikipedia. When someone thinks I forgot an artist or that the information is incorrect... I'm open for new information.

The list is in order of age of dying

Ritchie Valens (1941-1959)
Plane crash. After a winning cointoss and despite of his fear to fly, together with Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper, he flew out of the Mason City airport in a small plane that Holly had chartered. The plane flew into a blinding snowstorm and crashed shortly after takeoff. This is known as "The Day The Music Died".

26 classic jazz albums from the 70s, one for each letter of the English alphabet. Not intended to be an absolute definitive best of, just a fun place to start or pick up some suggestions for further listening. There are certainly a few that I wanted that ended up getting knocked off, including albums by Woody Shaw, Gil Evans, Julius Hemphill, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Dewey Redman. Also no posthumous John Coltrane albums. Let me know what you think. Which albums would you have instead?

Brand X, "la otra banda" de Phil Collins

Están todos como loquitos porque Phil Collins desaparezca del mapa musical, cosa que, desde luego, no será posible. No solo porque se trata de uno de los músicos más completos de la escena musical contemporánea (y difícilmente podríamos concebirla sin su presencia), sino que además se trata de un tipo con muy buen ojo para el negocio (algo que sus detractores jamás le perdonarán). Curiosamente, la mayoría de críticas en contra de Collins se escriben desde la arena de aquellos que escuchan mucho, sí, pero conocen poco y, como medida de calidad, tienen a lo que la mayoría (con barnizado culturoso en la superficie) opina.

Gracias a él mismo, Phil Collins necesita pocos defensores (o, más bien, no los necesita). Así que pasemos este punto, que no me compete aunque bien quería mencionarlo.

Bill Laswell родился 14 февраля 1950 года. Путь в мир музыки начинался довольно просто: молодой бас-гитарист сначала играет в школьных ансамблях и rhythm and blues'овых группах.
