Turmion Kätilöt (Literally ”Midwives of Ruin” or ”Midwives of Perdition”) is a Finnish industrial metal band founded in 2003 by MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo. The band has two members; Raaka Pee and Vastapallo. The live line-up adds Spellgoth, (who is also the lead vocalist of Trollheim’s Grott, a Finnish industrial/black metal band), Master Bates, RunQ (Janne Tolsa of Tarot and Eternal Tears of Sorrow) and DQ.

The band has a recording contract with Spinefarm Records (specifically Ranka Recordings), and their second full-length album was released on March 29th, 2006. At the moment the band is having troubles with Spinefarm Records regarding the income of their albums, meanwhile fans are already anxious for their new full length album. Due to the rivalry between the band and the record company Turmion Kätilöt has filed a lawsuit against Spinefarm Records. Despite the issues, a new album, U.S.C.H.!, was released digitally on 11th June 2008. A new single, Minä määrään (”I Rule”), was digitally released for free before the album, on May 21.
