  Just spun "Velvet Darkness They Fear" for the millionth time :D Their best album by far. Not even close, for me at least! The debut and Aegis are both VERY good too though, but a more authentically 'Gothic' album than VDtF may not exist. Well, there is "Widow's Weeds" & "Beyond The Veil" from Tristania, along with "Dusk" & "Cruelty" from Cradle (when they were good, of course :P)

  I think their newer stuff has much more emotional depth and the lyrics are more meaningful, but the old stuff and the electronic period are amazing too. :)
