    What the crap are you talking about people?!!! GSOI is a happy, joke-ish fun album to dance to and to smile with it. All the songs are gold in it's own way. It has a great vibe, it's super fresh. It can't be compared with the other 2. I sometimes miss that feel in todays TWY. there aren't enough 'feel good' bands out there. [2]

    I loved gsoi BECAUSE it didn't take itself seriously. it was just fun to listen to and could put a smile on my face. IMO there aren't enough 'feel good' bands out there.

    The reason this band gets recognition is because of their take on lyrics and energy. Save for certain songs on Suburbia, they're hardly innovative, and it's totally okay. They're a prime example of the best modern pop-punk. I think The Upsides isn't below-average because of that. The singing isn't great, but it's an enjoyable, thought-provoking listen. Suburbia mends any of its flaws. GSOI! is a fun album without much substance. And yeah, it's clearly a joke album, so it's fine.

    To me, GSOI is the immature high school album, Upsides is the progression to college and how you deal with life then, and Suburbia is what happens after college. I enjoy all three albums respectively, but Upsides is probably my favourite.

    I made that comment when people were saying whether the Upsides/ Suburbia was the better record, plus GSOI is pretty different from the two. I tend to think of the change from GSOI to the Upsides kind of like dream theater's transition from Falling into Infinity to Scenes from a Memory (just the general idea of a band "maturing" I guess)

    Get Stoked On It! was written for a joke when they started out. It's just a fun record and shouldn't be taken seriously or over analysed. Also what's with all the "both albums" crap in here, they have three records...

    When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong and My Geraldine Lies Over the Delaware are the only songs I ever could get into from GSOI. And I love them. The rest of the album... just ugh.

    @hitlers_Cum I kinda agree, I believe to be your full self you have to use every skill and experience to it's full potential. it was their worst record, but as shitty as a criticism this might sound I wish their last record was funnier.
