    Love The Clash but I'm with the people who much prefer The Maytal's original. Their cover of Junior Murvin's Police & Thieves was smack on the money, this one was hit and miss

    this is way better than song that came before they recorded this song and was heard by the public before the Clash recorded theirs in the studio, where they recorded songs that made albums/singles and was bought by people that love THE CLASH and by people that don't understand them and harp over an original that is musically different than this which most covers do.

    Maybe I just have crappy taste, but I think this cover kills! I love it! I heard the Maytals version and it's cool, but this one just has that Clash spin that just makes in better in my book. I adore The Clash and I think there isn't a damn thing wrong with this track!
