People say that in your twenties you form your future music listening. That isn't really correct for me. I think somewhere between the years of 1993-94, when I was 16-18 years old, formed on many counts my music listening. Artist I was listening to then and espacilly music genre I still isten to a lot. Artists as Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr, De La Soul, Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Beastie Boys and Nas.

That was alson these artists that made me interested in soul music during these years and the years to follow. Not contemporary soul but older soul who had inspired the rap artists I've listen to. Soul like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ann Peebles, Syl Johnson, Al Green, Millie Jackson, Sly & The Family Stone etc. That led to more obscure soul and funk later.

So thats the years I'm still living in musicaly. Rap and soul is still the music I listen mostly to, even if other styles and artists naturally are common nowadays too in my music listening.
