Made up of musicians from Ireland and Sweden, SIR REG is a band that took a long time in the making. For many years under the name The Barcrawlers, the core of the band gigged its ass off all over Scandinavia playing Irish pub songs at every venue imaginable. ”We felt we had achieved everything we had set out to achieve as a ‘pub band’, so we decided it was time to start making music that we ourselves wanted to make”, singer Brendan explains.
Therefore, armed a bunch of original compositions SIR REG hit the studio to create something they would be proud of and listen to themselves. ”We threw all of our influences into a melting pot and created a sound that represented us together”, Brendan continues.
SIR REG supported The Misfits on their European tour in september of 2010.
They are currently recording a follow-up album to their debut. Release date is currently not set.
