On November 7th, just a few days from now, it will be exactly five years since I signed up with Audioscrobbler/Last.fm. In order to celebrate, I have planned several historical statistics posts. Gruaah! I'm addicted to journals so here's the next part introducing my favourite albums. I'll use two separate numberings since I can't compare Kelly to metal (who could?). The numbering is quite meaningless since all these albums are just amazing and I'll never grow tired of any them.

1. My December. Album introducing Kelly Clarkson's more rocky side. You can definetly hear her touch in the lyrics and song themes. Even without big single hits this is definetly the most complete one of her albums. 9 songs in my top 11 tracks should tell my side of the story :)

2. Breakaway. Kelly's hit parade. Includes four of her biggest hits. I don't really like the way how the biggest hits are the first tracks and it took me a lot of time to discover how great the other songs are. Great individual songs but the unity isn't that great.


1. Silent Waters. Moving on to the metal albums. Amorphis steals the first place just as the scrobbles indicated. …

I kept listening to people saying that Rammstein has turned into something new, that's very soft when compared to the old "heavier" Rammstein. I even read this one review at Amazon.com, that said Rammstein should split up after Rosenrot - not because the album is bad, but because the band was becoming way too soft to please their fans.
Well, with the recent release of Völkerball, I've been listening to Rammstein a lot more than usual, and I think I have some right to dispute this argument. After all, I've known this band since the Mutter tour on 2001, when I first saw them live and became addicted, and I have a lot of recordings from them, albums, EPs, dvds, etc. I think I have some legitimacy, as a more or less older fan, to say this.

First of all, the obvious - I don't think that neither Reise, Reise nor Rosenrot are inferior than older Rammstein records. They're very diferent, that I admit. What sets them apart is mainly that the songs are a lot more creative and experimental; when Mutter…
