just got his new compilation Telesterion and I refuse to add an "A." on all his tracks. Last.fm's most stupid auto correct there is [2]

Telesterion is a good compilation, but the photograph on the left once you open the cd.. now that's cheesy.

What Cedric said after being asked to describe Omar: "i would describe omar as an infinitely powerful being. someone who understands the concept of mocking up an unwritten future and willing it into existence within every breath he takes. there are not many people like him on this planet and by that i dont mean prolific guitar hero, im talking about an ancient soul whose understanding of the human condition radiates in everything he touches" further proof that Omar is god!

Witnessed his set at Coachella and he ripped a hole in my world. It was as if his guitar was an extension of his body and he moved, swayed with it. Every sound that came out of his guitar was met with an equal body movement and I saw and heard things that I didn't even think possible. BY FAR, the greatest concert experience of my life, and I recommend that everybody see him at least once in their lives.

Why does everything else sound so insipid now? I don't believe any musician went further than he did, or at least I don't know one. And it'd be sad to rely just on Omar forever. The world needs more such eclecticism, power and heart in music. [2] holy fuck i love you [2] totally agree.

if anyone is seeing him live soon expect to be shocked. cedric sings the whole time. they play mostly brand new mars volta songs. it is fucking sick.

@BomBomBee: true, but FLAC wastes so much more space than mp3s do, all the stuff I bought from Omar (which is not even half of everything) is already occupying half a gigabyte, and with FLAC it would be a LOT more I guess... if you handle your vinyl always adequately, then you can avoid noises of the media anyways :). and ORL sounds always awesome, agreed on that.

Finding the right tags for his solo releases is a fucking nightmare, especially with Last.fm's auto-correct.

"Searching. My music is just searching. I’m just searching. That’s it. I want to become one with God. I want to be God, if that makes any sense." Doesn't work if you're God already

I agree Private Fortunes is probably my favourite track on Old Money and the first Omar track I heard.

It would be nice to hear an album with both Ximena and Cedric on vocals... [2] Fuck yeah it would. I think they could play well off each other.
