probably their most mature release. an excellent album and a hell of a grower.

"Pennys Weight and Silent / Transparent are the only 'sizetracks i skip, ever." i can understand skipping Penny's Weight, but Silent / Transparent?

I love every track on this so much. Very different and less action-packed than the other 'Size releases, but just as astonishingly good.

This is the only 'Size album I don't fully love yet. Don't misunderstand, I like it alot but it just hasn't "clicked" yet.

Finally grew on me, too. I think it was the same back with "Frames", it was very hard to get into, too. Both really great albums with some awesome outstanding tracks and just a few rather disappointing moments. For this album, I would consider "A Penny's Weight" a filler, the rest pure awesomeness. I can also see very neat transitions between all the songs. Complexity isn't always good and I don't think it's their intention to be the most complex band in the world. And as far as creativity concerned, I think it is by far more creative than "Frames", more experimental and in general more exiting to listen to. Not that "Frames" is not great, it is in another way, it is maybe the most well-balanced album so far. But well, "Effloresce" rulez all in the end ;) Love this band, they never cease to amaze me. I really adore their EPs, too. Wish I could see them live once again together with Aereogramme, that were the times... witch Mike standing in the audience and headbanging to "Wood"...

Not complex enough. Not creative enough. Dull when compared with Frames or Effloresce.. Yes, I do enjoy some of the songs, but other leftover songs are highly meh.

Okay, so it grew on me. :P I like Superimposer, Build us a Rocket, Oscar and Silent/Transparent especially.

To me this album can be divided into three parts. Part 1(Part Cardiac, Superimposer, Build us a Rocket Then...) Part 2 (Oscar Acceptance Speech, Ransoms, A Penny's Weight, Silent/Transparent) and Part 3(It's my Tail..., Pine, Superimposter) My only complaint about this album is that part three just does'nt seem to have continuity that the other parts have, though the songs are allright. It's starts off great with "Its my Tail..." but then it just plummtits from then, not that i have anything against "Pine", but the transitioning is just odd to me. Anyway that's my thoughts on ths album, i still think it's amazing though.

Feels a lot darker than their previous albums. Not heavier, just darker.
