Not very "metal" but this is my bread making song. My brand of bread requires kneading for about 15 minutes twice before baking. This is the song for that task. Just when it starts to hurt that "it's all worthwhile" bit kicks in and i soldier on and on and on and on and on.
This is a great song. I really love the repetition, how it has an almost hypnotic, drone like, doom sort of quality about it, yet stays quite well in the realm of metalcore. It's also got pretty nice dynamics, coming to some real nice headbang worthy moments of catharsis. I'd probably listen to Norma Jean more if this was a more regular thing for them.
This is the first song I heard off the album back when it first came out. I just put the CD in my CD player and hit 5 and play and my mouth dropped open and it's been open ever since. This is their magnum opus. This song, along with "And Then There Was Then" are the only two times I've literally been stunned into awe by a song/music.
Just heard this song for the first time today and holy fucking shit is it amazing. I never gave this band a chance but I just picked up Bless the Martyr because I've heard so much praise for the album. Its actually pretty damn good. I underestimated them.
