lol I love how LastFM is streaming songs with "Magnatune Compilation" as the artists' names, yet they say in their FAQs that it's wrong.
Whatever. I'm not going to bother retagging all of my Magnatune stuff if they're going to continue doing things this way. Not worth the hassle.
I also have to add that I love the music on their site! So many gems, and such wonderful deals. :) 15$ a month for unlimited music, and they encourage you to share some of it? Yes, please! <3
Magnatune is a great little company, but dumb about labeling tracks. And they can't spell. On their compilations, the "artist" for every track is "Magnatune Compilation" and the actual artist name is crammed into the track name. I always correct these, but it's understandable that most listeners can't be bothered.
well, glad i checked out the post. didn't realize that magnatune was doing that. also, i'm running the latest "release" of amarok, but there are still bugs. just transitioned from sqlite to mysql, which is a heck of a lot faster, and i hope that didn't generate garbage. if anyone has any tips, please feel free to shout at me. lol.
It pisses me off that this is considered poorly tagged, but at the same time this is how Last.Fm radio streams it, thus adding more noise to the stats themselves. Kinda silly encouraging people to re-tag while this is the case... pot, kettle, black, that kind of thing.
