Kottke is one of my all-time favorite players. My first album (on vinyl) was Chewing Pine back in the 70s. I wore it out (found a CD about a year ago). His work is eclectic and sometimes odd, but always inventive and interesting.

Just found Hear the Wind Howl in my dad's Cd collection yesterday. "Geese farts on a foggy day"? Kottke's voice is great, it really suits his playing. Eight Miles High is really good
