I'll join in with those saying this one is (very) underrated. It helps to have an interest in jazz and/or 20th century composers to find enjoyment in this one. The title track is among the best tracks any iteration of Crimson ever did, for my money.

I am angry with myself for not thinking to listen to this album until quite recently. It's incredible!

same with these supposed audiophiles who'd rather admire their shitty sounding vinyl mix graph chart in excel than actually listen to the goddamn music. i bet you can't tell me a goddamn thing about this album except that the original DVD-A mix sounded sooooo much better, bro

people who fuckin masturbate over dynamic compression charts remind me of terrible photographers who MUST have the best camera out there because only that takes the best pictures. nothing else can compare. who gives a shit if they take the worst, most uninspired pictures of wilted plants and brick walls, IT'S FUCKIN PIN SHARP, BRO, LOOK AT THAT SHIT.

nah, sorry bro, all your verbal masturbation on how much better vinyl and analog mastering is doesn't actually make this be true. wilson's mastering is fucking light years beyond what this record has ever sounded like. just because you pull some numbers out of your ass to show how much dynamic compression this has in comparison to the original mastering doesn't change the fact that it sounds a shitload better.
