Det finns fler än tio artister som använder namnet Kaya.
1) Kaya började sin karriär 1999 som sångare för Shikoku-baserade bandet Meties, då under namnet Hime. De släppte en demo med två låtar. 2001 mötte Hime keyboardisten Hora på en konsert med ett av hans band, Velvet Eden. Tillsammans bildade de Rudolf Steiner, även här med Hime som sångare och låtskrivare. Till skillnad från andra -band använde sig de inte av några akustiska instrument utan använde sig enbart av elektroniska instrument. Bandet släppte två demos (Perfect Garden och Queen of Decandence). Med sin unika stil drog de till sig Manas (Moi dix Mois, ex-MALICE MIZER) uppmärksamhet, och Mana signerade dem till hans indie-bolag Midi:Nette och bandet bytte då namn till Schwarz Stein och Hime bytte artistnamn till Kaya. Detta band fick stor uppmärksamhet i den japanska visual kei och goth-scenen och de släppte två album och två singlar. Bandet splittrades 2004 på grund av olika viljor inom musiken. Även om de splittrades förblev Kaya och Hora vänner. April 2006 bestämde de sig för att göra en skiva tillsammans under namnet another cell. I juni samma år kom Kayas första solo-singel, Kaleidoscope.

    I like Selia, especially in Seileen (well just the album, since Requiem D-moll was awful), I like his collaboration on this single, although on the last seconds of Curse of Rose it reaches a kind of a 'weird' stage imo XD

    Not sure how his singing style sounds 'retarded' he's just a countertenor, so it's nothing new as just that term has been around since (I think) the 17th Century. Selia's style of singing is very like it or not though (there's some stuff he sings on I like and some I don't).

    I've really tried, but I can't really appriciate Selia on this single. He sounds retarded lol. The idea is really great, but a man singing with that kind of vocal is.. strange

    I for one think Kaya sounds amazing regardless of the fact that Hizaki was involved in the single. Vampire Requiem's probably my favorite single since Chocolat an Ophelia. I'm a huge fan of the combination of guitars + electronic music, so this was a big hit.

    "Curse of Rose is Versailles...not Kaya..." Not, it is Kaya. Kaya has a unique style, and is always trying different music styles. Just check his discography, or even better, what he usually plays. Chanson, Eletro, Rock versions of his songs... And much more. Each song is different from other. Curse of Rose is amazing. Although some parts it looks like Versailles, Kaya always personalize his music. I think that's the point of Kaya's music. Or will you call something "Versailles" each time you hear a guitar playing sounding like metal...? Oh, please

    "the BEST Major Kaya single EVAR!!" He's not on a major label now. He only was for Chocolat, Last Snow, Bonjour! Chanson, and the Glitter special edition. He's back on his own label Traumerei.

    I don't get how people can say that Curse of Rose "is" Versailles. Use your head guys, what can you expect when one of Versailles main composers have written the track? Ofc it's gonna sound similar, and that alone shouldn't define if you love the song or not. I myself love this single. Love the package it came in, and the signed photo

    Btw, those of you who are criticizing any of the 2 songs just because they are guitar-heavy (especially Curse of Rose), you don't know SH** about Kaya's discography, since those are not the only songs with guitars he has, and there's a handful indeed!

    Received it today too, different packaging (cheaper?) but interesting nonetheless, I've got to give it some more listens but my first impression is that some parts are quite awesome, and some others are 'ok' and even 'meh'. But it comes with the english translation for both songs, which is sooo kind and nice :)
