One of my favorite guitarists along with MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore and Malmsteen. "Nine Tomorrows" has to be one of the most emotionally gripping neoclassical metal songs I have ever heard.

So as not to short change him Tony McAlpine contributes some stellar keyboard work as well...equally as proficient on keys as guitar, a true virtuoso in every sense of the word.

Out of the Sun is a great album... has some guest solos from Paul Gilbert, and features one of the few recorded perfrormances of virtuoso bassist Wally Voss....taken far too soon...if this recording had a big budget, watch out!

Agreed. Plastic sounds much more 'strong' and melodic. A hint of Vai

Personally, I think it's all about "Plastic". Far superior compositions.

I think "Out of the Sun" is more brilliant than "Mind's Eye". Not because any technical proficiency (that i don't care much), but because of the compositions quality.

"Out of the Sun" is amazing! Almost as brilliant as Vinnie Moore's "Mind's Eye", and in terms of style and climate - very similar. All VM fans - listen to this guy!
