Sweet. Have to dig out the old Thick as a Brick newspaper.

I too have a slight preference for Part 1, but my nitpick with Part 2 is a lot of times it seems like the transitions are much more abrupt and less fluid than in Part 1.

I love this although I do have a very slight preference for Part 1; there's one small part in Part 2 where I feel almost like it's a verse too much to make up the time, as if he knew how to end it but didn't have quite enough to get there. It's only a very minor quibble, more than made up for by the fabulous drums, the 'do you believe in the day' section and the last three or so minutes as it gradually diminishes from orchestra, through the band, down to Anderson on his own with guitar, then the solo voice. Makes you want to flip the LP over and start again

@LiquidEternety: He's constantly playing 3/4 with the feet while playing totally independent on the snare/toms. This needs some badass coordination or at least a lot of practice...

The opening of this song with the drum beat slowly fading in is so creepy....but I love it~

6:30-11:00 is the best part of the whole album. "Do you believe in the day..."

The drum solo makes me happy. Jeez. It doesn't have to be the best--it just works.

I love the drum solo. It's not the best I've heard, but it's great.
