A stadium half-full or half-empty? Ian Anderson live in Nicosia, Cyprus!
20 feb 2011, 19:54 av domunited
Sat 19 Feb – Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson Live in Cyprus
My high expectations were not deceived last night as Ian Anderson and co. put on a magnificent performance. The set was full of Jethro Tull classics with only one song off Ian's solo project. It is really sad, however, that the Eleftheria Stadium was half-empty - was it the company's (Naked Panda Entertainment) fault which put the tickets at such absurd high prices? This is the most likely answer as the €25 seats looked sold out. Nevertheless, the band did not let itself worry about this and gave out an exceptionally brilliant performance.
After a slight delay, as the band most probably was waiting for the stadium to fill up, Ian and co. went on stage and started off with the legendary
Living In The Past.
Nothing Is Easy followed right after. The acoustics of the stadium were satisfactory with all instruments sounding very clearly. It was Ian's voice, however, that could disappoint some. … -

Jethro Tull & Colosseum @ Arena, 2nd July 2010
11 jul 2010, 22:19 av RSt123
Fri 2 Jul – Jethro Tull, Colosseum
I didn't know Colosseum up to now and so it was a bunch of new songs
for me :). But I liked their songs, I'll look around for some Albums of them :).
And Jethro Tull were quite ok, they played music from the end of the 1960ies, the 1970ies and also some of the 1980ies (or even newer, I don't know);
some highlights were:
Songs from the Wood,
Thick as a Brick,
Bouree and
Aqualung and the encore was an extended version of
Locomotive Breath.
From time to time Ian Anderson talked to us and told some stories behind the
songs and about the time they were recording it.
Some people said they haven't seen them in such a good mood and
form for years so it really must have been a good gig even to their own
standards :). -

hm... pierwsze tysiąc kawałków i od razu taka wtopa... :) cóż, to mi w duszy grało AD 2006... świetny kawałek, naprawdę :) niezapomniany element każdej 18-nastkowej imprezy (z cyklu, "no ja się bawiłem doskonale"). Lubię i słucham do dziś. Proste a jakie skoczne i radosne. Cóż, czasem właśnie o to w muzyce chodzi...

Emerson, Lake & Palmer -
Tarkus
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51P4IXwHl5L._SL160_.jpg
Tarkus... Emerson, Lake and Palmer. …
