The sheer amount of talent on this stage is overwhelming. This is one of the last performances that Bernard Edwards (bass) ever played in 1996--RIP. Slash is one lucky man to be next to and even fondled by Jill Jones--she is a goddess. Also Omar Hakim on drums and Gerardo Velez on percussion (played with Hendrix at Woodstock).

1300 artists in my library
13 apr 2010, 02:21 av earthcrossing
Recently I hit '1300' artists in my library, so I thought I'd make a list of them all for posterity! Of course, I already removed one of those artists frmo my library during this process (it was my music, but under the wrong name...) and there are others I can probably get rid of immediately. But I want to take care in doing so.
Anyway, without further ado...this is the result of coming on up 5 years of scrobbling here at Last.fm, and away from it (on iPod). There have been times when I wasn't able to scrobble, so a lot of data wasn't recorded then. But other than those times, this is what we have...

King Khan & The Shrines - What Is?! (2007) - album review
16 okt 2009, 13:21 av robbie-77
Every now and again a record comes out that re-affirms everything that you inspired your love for music. King Khan & The Shrines are a refreshing hot furnace blast that will re-invigorate your love of music and have you swinging like it's 1969. There are barely enough adjectives to describe the sound of this band, who are an electrifying blend of psychedelic soul, rhythm & blues, garage, funk, & 60's Blow-Up-A-Go-Go style retro dancefloor.... and boy do they bring it. From the belting opener, 'How Can I Keep You (Outta Harms Way)’ will have you shakin' your booty around your living room, and wildly foot-tapping in the bus queue. It's the perfect summer album, and i'm secretly hoping could be the sound of the Summer... fingers crossed.
The wall of sound created by this band is powered along by an amazingly tight and powerful brass section that wouldn't sound of out place on some of Motown's greatest hits backed up by the pedigree percussion of Ron Streeter (who performed with all the greats back in the day…
