    I feared they might defile their music with English lyrics as I read the track's title "A World in Their Screams". No other language could replace French here. Its very monotone and "flowing" nature is a perfect match for this music. As someone said below, the music is unique. Good luck for your personal projects Elend.     They made something different from any neoclassical darkwave I've ever heard. I'm not in the position to say who's the best and who's not, but beyond this, their originality and talent make them a really great band.

    A World in Their Screams is without a doubt the most terrific piece I've ever heard, and since 2 years one of my all time favourite album. I'm so fucking sad it's their last album... Someone knows about a solo project or a new project ? It would be more than welcome.

    Sunwar the Dead and Winds Devouring Men remind me a lot of Dead Can Dance, like LibreLibre said. This band is amazing. It's sad that they are not more popular. À découvrir impérativement !

    Try The Umbersun. Their latest three albums are different, but perfect in their ways, too. Personally I mostly like "Les Ténèbres Du Dehors" and "Sunwar The Dead" ;-)

    The other Elend albums, on the other hand, are such an unique masterpiece of contemporary classical music. Giacinto Scelsi would be proud. :)

    Yes, it is. "Winds Devouring Men" and "Sunwar the Dead" are pretty similar, although more violent than DCD. For example, "The Host of Seraphim", "Enigma of the Absolute", "Tell Me About The Forest (You Once Called Home)", "Ascension", "Xavier" etc are the songs of the same darkwave style as "Chaomphalos", "Threnos", "Poisonous Eye", "The Newborn Sailor", "Silent Slumber: A God That Breeds Pestilence", and even "Moon of Amber".
