Andy's 2-hour April show includes highlights of his recent trip to Denmark, with an interview and exclusive live track from the Copenhagen launch party of Alex Canasta's second album 'Safe Inside', along with tracks from the LP and a competition to win copies of it on CD. There's also a session from trance act Curtis & Craig, featuring Martin Craig, otherwise known as previous session guest Cygnus X-1. New music comes from Pure Love, MS MR, The Gummy Web, Team Ghost, New Order, Findlay, David Bowie and Delphic, plus regular guest spots Dad's Discs and Scott's Funky Five Minutes.
Dandelion Roots this month is hosted by Gareth Main, whose adoration for all music Jamaican-influenced shows itself in a new monthly night in London starting this month.
Plug out the way, the quality of artists throughout this hour speaks volumes, from star MCs including Pupajim, Soom T and Daddy Freddy, to the leading producers of the modern day…

Friday 29 July: Suburban Kids with Biblical Names, Jonny
Saturday 30 July: Edwyn Collins, The Hidden Cameras

They will join Math and Physics Club, Help Stamp Out Loneliness, Withered Hand, Butcher Boy, Chris T-T, Milky Wimpshake and dozens more indiepop acts at this year’s festival, held at the Midland Railway in Ripley, Derbyshire. A full timetable will be published shortly.
Herman Düne (pictured above) were formed in Paris a decade ago by songwriter and vocalist David-Ivar Herman Dune and drummer Cosmic Neman. They soon gained cult status with the help of DJ John Peel, recording more than 10 Peel Sessions. Following a string of DIY releases…
2 maj 2011, 08:48 av theyshootmusicThis was not an everyday video shoot, this was something special! You don’t often get to film people like Edwyn Collins, who left an impressive trace in pop history from 1980 onwards with Orange Juice and his solo records, who recorded a proper worldwide hit single („A Girl Like You“) in 1994, who fought his way back into life and on music stages after two life-threatening cerebral hemorrhages that left him unable to walk, talk or play music in 2005, who has since then released two amazing albums („Home Again“ and „Losing Sleep“) and started touring again, playing intense and stirring live shows. In late February this year, Edwyn visited Austria again after 15 years. We meet his wife and manager Grace Maxwell – easily one of the most positive and heartwarming people you can imagine (check out „Falling & Laughing“, her book about Edwyn’s recovery) – in the lobby of Hotel Triest in the afternoon before his show. We head to Edwyn’s room and set up on the lovely roof garden just next to it. …

We’re delighted to welcome another 25 bands to the Indietracks 2011 line-up, including:
Help Stamp Out Loneliness, whose Krautrock-inspired poptastic debut record is a clear contender for the album of the year.
Milky Wimpshake, Newcastle’s punk pop legends, with three ace albums and numerous fantastic singles under their belts.
Just Handshakes (We’re British), described by Rough Trade as “officially one of the best UK indie pop bands around”, and with a recent single on the legendary Elefant Records.
Band A Part, a charming Spanish indiepop duo, again continuing our festival’s Elefant Records connection.
Amor De Dias, amazing collaboration between The Clientele frontman Alasdair Maclean and Pipas’ Lupe Nunez-Fernandez.
They’re joined by bundles of other fantastic bands. The following have also been added to the main stages:
Guatafan (Spain), A Fine Day for Sailing, Sloppy Joe (Japan), The History of Apple Pie, Horowitz, Frankie Machine…
