now that i listen to distance more, i see that vex'd is not really a worthy comparison.. they both have completely different styles, yet they are both praised as being "dubstep?" i guess that just shows the uselessness of genre labeling...

My favourite Dubstep producer: dense, serious, heavy, tasteful even. No wibbly-wobbly stuff. I don't need to say how good Night Visison is: it's so obvious. Traffic is top-notch (it almost kind of sort of reminds me of Drill by Speedy J), while Delight is an unexpected and pleasant gem. I can't wait for another album. His music is not as Dubsteppy as a lot of other stuff: just heavy, instrumental breakbeat music. Stuff that transcends genres has a lot more legs than music that stays where it came from.
