28 jan 2011, 19:48 av missravenxWed 26 Jan – Voltaire, David J, Adrian H and The Wounds
Great show but I wish they'd had better lighting. Photos of Voltaire here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/missravenx/sets/72157625922477136/
When I get some more time I'll put up some photos of Adrian H and The Wounds and David J.
4 dec 2009, 15:31 av cat-denturesNo. Not really.
This is the third night in a row that I've stayed up until early in the AM just to get my music fix. I really should get some sleep. BUT, being the master at procrastination, I'm going to fill out this pointless survey instead:
Name your top 10 most played bands on Last.fm:
1. The Associates
3. Tones on Tail
5. 16 Horsepower
6. Siouxsie and the Banshees
7. Man Man
8. Modern Eon
9. Bubonic Plague
10. Tears for Fears
Just realized that I don't really listen to half of these artists as much anymore. but ANYWAY...
Now answer the questions according to the numbers:
What was the first song you ever heard by 6?
Arabian knights. Still one of my favorites by them.
What is your favourite album of 2?
In the Flat Field. Used to love listening to this while going to work, but had to roll my windows up since I'd always get weird, confused, and disgusted looks from other drivers.
8 aug 2009, 19:46 av pessimysticatest your memory and your love of live music by listing 50 artists or bands (or as many as you can remember) you've seen in concert. list the first 50 acts that come into your head. an act you saw at a festival and opening acts count, but only if you can't think of 50 other artists. oh, and list the first concert you ever saw (you can remember that, can’t you)?
* Yes, i've kept tabs of this since the 90's. It's like a musical time machine! So many good memories. I had to extended it way past 100 artists... & of course, still counting!! These are basically listed in chronological order as close as I could remember (year by year eventually was figured out along the way, & thanks to Wikipedia for festival listings)

(w/ Face to Face & No Use for a Name)
2. Bush - 3 x's

organized alphabetically according to the artist, then the title of record and any notes about it. #'s are listed first, various artists are alphabetized with the V's

14 sep 2006, 19:23 av VioletBibopTaken from http://www.petermurphy.info/justbios/davidj.html, David J talks about Peter Murphy.
Between the blue iris and the black of pupil is a perfect ring of white.Peter Murphy is of all three colours, but at heart and burning harder than the rest is that radiant pure non-colour.
It finds its reflection and resonance in the stark intensity of German expressionist chiaroscuro lighting, adopted and put to great effect by that entity of which we both form a part, known as Bauhaus.
It radiates outwards from the stellar heat of the performance space which holds an audience in thrall. It reverberates in union with the walls of Mecca and the sanctified cloth of Muslim garb.
It is the colour that obliterates all other colour. Its scintillant flood drowns out the dark. It is the first and the last. The very molten core.
Peter Murphy is a self contained pantheon of gods. He exhibits qualities that are, in turn, Dionysian, Apollonian, and Mercurial. …
10 sep 2006, 23:32 av OrgueilI've listed to a lots of music this week (I've got some paintings work so I put on my music and go down with brushes!=P), great, so I decided to write a Journal about it. Yes, I'm smart sometimes, of course!ù_ù
My english is terrible, so I hope you can forgive my grammatical mistakes and, most important, understand me the same. I'll do my best!=P
10# Killing Joke (16 list): oh, the Killing Joke are a really good group, one of those I love to list when I was a little angry or I need a bit of energy. They always do a great job with me!=P
9#Nico (19 list): I love her voice, so deep, freeze and powerfull. The famous work with the Velvet Underground is great, yes, but her solo career is really amazing and deserves more attention, I think. There are some great songs as Janitor of Lunacy or Innocent and Vain that really makes me shiver. Lovely!
8# Skeletal Family (22 list): a nice gothic rock group. I like the voice of the singer and they have got some great tracks. Good!
