If American Idol Was The Voice...
24 jan 2012, 20:56 av WarrenM2008
Last week, we had the season 11 premiere of American Idol, which I didn't watch since I was still recovering from the finale. In about two weeks, we will have the season 2 premiere of The Voice coming on right after the Super Bowl (or at 10 PM eastern time, should the Super Bowl run too long). While none of the finalists in season 1 have experienced success like Idol contestants have, they were a lot better than Idol's season last year. When I compared the two together, I saw that Idol had a lot more flaws that I recognized years back but forgot about. While I'm Team Voice right now, I still listen to some of the Idol alumni since I have watched them previously. Suddenly, considering how myself and a lot of other people wished that a certain selection of Idol finalists from last season had gone further, I thought the reason that they ultimately lost was because they were on the wrong show. The same goes to a lot of past Idol contestants. … -

Top 50 on the day of the 1-year anniversary on Last.fm
5 jun 2010, 23:05 av Jefflim
It's not really my one-year anniversary on Last.fm as I've been around since 2006, but that was with my old account. This account celebrates its one-year anniversary today though.
The interesting thing is that out of my current top 50 in that list there's 21 artists that I didn't even know about or didn't listen to a year ago. Also, right now there's 8003 different artists in my library. Wow. I do spend a lot of time listening to Last.fm radio, people's library and Spotify, but 8000 artists is still more than I would have expected! I guess that just goes to show how interested I am in finding new music and to taking new artists to heart. :)
Here's to an equally interesting second year of scrobbling under this profile!

Top 50 with the number of plays for each one as they stand after the first year of scrobbling with this username. New artists from this year are marked with an asterisk.

2. Anberlin 471

50 Questions about my Top 50: 2009 Version
2 nov 2009, 23:13 av melbo
Because it's been almost two years since I filled this out...I thought it would be fun to see how this has changed.
1. How did you get into 29? (Martina Sorbara)
My friend Christina loved her first. She has excellent taste in music, so I looked her up.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Clay Aiken)
Haha...umm...I guess something he sang on American Idol? I don't remember whether I watched the auditions that season or picked up the show later.
3. What's your favorite lyric by 33? (Chris Isaak)
No idea. I don't really pay attention to his lyrics...more his music and his voice.
4. What is your favorite album by 49? (Spice Girls)
Haha, I guess I prefer Spice World?
5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (Mariah Carey)
Five.
6. What is your favorite song by 50? (Billy Joel)
First, how is Billy only #50?! That's disturbing. I love so many of his songs (so many!!), but if I have to pick just one, I always go with
The Longest Time. …
Clay Aiken
