Born in Chicago during the late 70’s, Owen Ashworth early catched on electronic music with a twist.
His alter-ego Casiotone For The Painfully Alone combines electronic tunes with lo-fi loneliness and a small town feeling that takes you on two different journeys; for the body and for the soul.

I wonder if Casiotone is becoming a sort of indie seasonal music, with Cold White Christmas getting 6x the plays of any other songs on the "Last Week" charts, and presumably New Year's Kiss will be in the same position once the charts update next week.

On the contrary, "Casiotone for the Painfully Alone" is a fantastic name for a band. Just brilliant. It so perfectly sums up the band's sound that you don't even have to listen to them to know what they're like. You can't say the same thing about, oh, I don't know, Neutral Milk Hotel.
