    This is not Bud Powell, something gone wrong! You definitely hear that the sound is more "modern", at least from the 90s (possibly 80s). It might be Chick Corea's tribute to Bud....

    A little crazy is right. This is one of the coolest compositions in jazz. Bud was the Bird of the keys. He always staggered the fine line between genius and insanity. He was equal parts virtuosity and invention.

    poor quality sound, yes, but the classic, as found on The Smithsonian Collection of Classic Jazz which is superb (yes, it sounds better there, but was poorly recorded originally).
