    @kiddio: I don't have my reference books to hand, but I'm 99% certain that Big Joe was there first. The other Elvis hit which is worth tracing back to it's origins is Big Mama Thornton's Hound dog (and she also originated Ball and Chain, which Janis turned into a mega hit.)
