Figured I may as well make a journal at some point, so here we go!
How Varied Is Your Music Taste?
First, make a list of your top-20 artists overall. Then, for each of these artists, add the 8 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, count up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 160 represents an extremely varied one. Anything bolded means they're either in my library or taking up space on my iPod.

I've wanted to do this for quite some time now, but for one reason or another it got delayed till now.
This is basically a list of my favorite artists, which is obviously subject to constant change as time passes. In addition to the music they make, the other factor that I took in consideration when making this list was how much I liked these people as a "person". Well, the image they have created of themselves actually, as one can't really know how someone is unless they know them personally.
I don't plan to update this list or anything, but if it'll be subject to a lot of change I'll just post a new one.

In what now seems to have become an annual event, it is time to compile my favourite 10 albums of the year. This is the third year I have done this now, and 2009 has definitely been a much stronger year than both 2007 and 2008. Usually I pick about 6 albums that are awesome then struggle to fill up the final 4 places. This year, I managed to write down 15 albums I loved, and actually had a hard time eliminating five of them from the list. So without further ado, my favourite albums of the year are:

10.Tonight: Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
Third album from everyone's favourite Scotsmen. Franz are one of those bands I've followed from the very beginning, and so far they are yet to produce a dodgy album. They just seem to have a superb knack of writing totally addictive tunes, and Tonight is no different. Lead single Ulysses sounds fresh without being too much of a departure from earlier Franz. …
