Arsis is an American death metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000. Although remaining as heavy as traditional death metal bands, they also possess complex riffs and solos that are similar to those found in both melodic and technical death metal. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast.

Although I think that "We are the nightmare" is their best album, I prefer "Celebration of Guilt" nowadays because of excellent guitar work.

I wasn't as big a fan of Starve For the Devil. Its not terrible, but truthfully, it didn't catch me like A Celebration of Guilt or United in Regret. We Are The Nightmare is a decent album, but kinda felt a bit gimmicky and there was a bigger emphasis on wankery with that album. roadkillfacepnt was correct in saying that they don't have a terrible or bad album, they're just different than the previous release. Even if I wasn't a big fan of SFTD, I give Arsis credit for having the balls to produce a different sound to a solid discography.
