    On the band name, I'm guessing that it stands for "The Five Unitarian-Universalists". I've seen a sign in front of one of those churches that refers to its members as "UU's". It's an extremely liberal denomination, so that would seem to make some sense...

    my fav is Hunger's teeth album, however I haven't heard Regarding purgatories yet. I am exploring all bands which contains Dave Kerman and what I am founding is mostly absolutely superior music. Also voice of Mrs. Deborah Perry is something great.

    Couple #3 Is A Solo is tied with Well...Not Chickenshit as my favorite song by them, but I've always felt that Abandonship was slightly inconsistent as an album (for example, Suits and Hill Of Spring don't really bring anything new to the table or reach the heights of most of their other work). And, I know I'm in the minority on this, but Crisis In Clay has always seemed a bit noticeably tighter and more developed compositionally than Hunger's Teeth, which, along with the added intensity gives it a slight edge for me, even though it doesn't have the same variety in terms of moods/being more tonal.

    Amazing, incredible music...Right now, Crisis In Clay and Regarding Purgatories are tied as my favorite album by them, but Abandonship has some insanely great stuff on it as well. When I was importing Hunger's Teeth into my computer, Gracenote had the artist tagged as The Five Of Us...

    I have Hunger's Teeth and Regarding Purgatories. They're a good band, not the best, but very good. Regarding Purgatories feels like a real grower, but I've only acquired it recently, so we'll see.
