"Once a lumberjack was about to chop down a tree, when he noticed a heart carved on it, with two names inside. Putting away his axe, he sawed down the tree instead. The point of that story escapes me, although six months later the lumberjack was fined for teaching a dwarf Roman numerals." -Woody Allen

I'm pretty sure Rachel's will always be my favourite. I like Don Caballero and Clann Zú a lot too.

Does Clann Zú even count as post-rock? In my books they do.

Loop a drum beat and you might as well beat a baby seal
Listening to hybrids of pop and jazz is the equivalent of molesting orphans
AIDS has nothing on pop stars who take themselves seriously

man, I'm as bad as a seal beater.
  • Most of the above, plus a new young band from Reading called thebigsleep. Nice noisy live show they put on!

  • There are some fine bands from Briatin in the kind of Post-rock/math rock/ interesting shit vein: 65 Days of Staticwww.65daysofstatic.com, Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies: www.ymss.org.uk, Tired Irie:www.tiredirie.co.uk Redjetson: www.redjetson.co.uk Fight Fire With Water: www.fightfirewithwater.co.uk loads of these have myspace accounts as well...myspace is a top place to check out bands if u know what ur looking for! :) Also agree with all the above!
