    Amplifiers

    What amplifier do you use?

I've got a Line 6 Spider II, 30 watt version. Not the most expensive amp, but a really loud and cheap one.

I hope to have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier one day.

A Fender Princeton Chorus 2x 50 watt, very loud. Not really a metal amp, but I've got a Boss GT-8 for that. The clean sounds are great though.

I might buy a bigger amp when I've got the room for it (which means when I move to a real house instead of living in my current collegestudent room).

    idem

  • Ibanez ofcourse! :P
The Tone Blaster 50R to be precise. It's like the Line6, but without the fake digital bullshit (no offence, but is it really YOUR sound you're hearing? :P). There's alot of Ibanez bashing when it comes to amps, but frankly I think it's the best you can get in the price range. An RG with DiMarzio Evos into an Ibanez amp - how addicted can you get XD

I use two amps simultaneously to compensate for their individual crappiness: Fender Champion 30W DSP (too trebly) + Behringer bass amp 15W (notsotrebly)

(+ Boss Metalzone + Boss Compressor + Boss SuperChorus + Boss Noise Suppressor)

Sounds alright but I definitely need a decent amp!

    Gotta love the chorus.

    At home, Peavey Rage 158
    Studio: Peavey Bandit 112.
I've made a point of not using pedals, don't care for delays and reverbs and such.

I use also two amps simultaneously. My setup:

Snarling Dogs Blue Doo distortion pedal--> LEM-DM81 stereo disco mixer--> Yamaha G100-212II (100 W guitar amp) & VOX T-25 bass amp.

Mixer is a really good thingy when it comes to tweaking sounds and such.

Marshall MG30 DFX. Great starter amp, though I would kill for an original Musicman. The tone is so warm, the best single speaker amp I've seen I think. =oD

    Park G10MKII .. well..it's Marshall :}

I don't have much room for a bigger amp(if u call this amp :D),although I'm thinking of buying myself something more "real" in the future :]

The sound is actually pretty good for its size,so I'm satisfied..The distortion's awesome \m/ I cannot imagine other 10 watt model that has such good quality as this one..that's what I think :P

Marshall MG30DFX... I think the best one for house. Except it's shitty overdrive. You need pedal/processor for it..

    450watt RMS
    with a single 17inch speaker
and a dual 12 inch speaker

    Really good bass amp^^

Peavey Bandit 112, one from the previous series, not one of those crappy new ones with the metallic knobs -__- I use a Morley Bad Horsie Wah, A Digitech Whammy and a T.C. Electronics G Major with it

    My boutique Sheldon TrueTone 3

The loudest 1w amp you'll ever hear, nothing but tubes and uber simple circuitry (ie. no circuit boards here) for the creamiest overdrive in the world

Either that or my Line6 PodXT Live through my hifi ;)

  • I've got this sweetass Ibanez IBZ10G, and believe you me, this is so cool. It's got this really cool effect on it that distorts everything when you push it. You guys have no clue how loud this thing gets either - like if you put it all the way up to 10, that shit is loud. I can almost hear it over my friends starter drum kit - that's how loud it gets.
