User Script Udates

  • User Script Udates

I had to reinstall FF and thus all my scripts. After reinstalling this one, I'm constantly presented with this window:

A user script has requested automatic update checks:

    name: User Script Updates
    namespace: http://userscripts.org/people/336
description: Checks for updated versions of user scripts that request it, and
notifies the user of their existence.
    homepage: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2296
    location: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/2296.user.js
    version: 0.3
    date: Tue Jun 20 2006

    Allow?

Is there any way to turn this off? Pressing Allow doesn't seem to do anything to keep the window from popping up on page reload.

  • Hello,

Try rightclicking on the Greasemonkey icon down in the Firefox statusbar.

Then just deactivate the script =]

I'm using that script with FF3 and don't have that problem.

  • I've had the same problem since upgrading to FF3. Removing and re-installing the script didn't work, so I just disabled it for now.

  • Well, of course I can deactivate the script but the point was I didn't want to. It's odd that it works for _Tarkus_ but not others of us. My FF3 installation is fresh and brand new but it worked before when I had a faulty installation. I just don't understand it.

  • Same here, since I updated to FF3 it stopped working. Turned it off for now..

For once, I'm the lucky one. ;)
