  • Eurotix - I Plead Insanity (Press release)

    16 mar 2014, 15:34 av BimboBoy

Eurotix is a new project from Sweden, ready to put the "pop" back in synthpop. Members Dennis Alexis Hellström (vocals) and Larry Forsberg (keys and knobs) both share a passion for eighties music, so their songs are heavily influenced by the synthpop/eurodisco sound of that era. But with a modern twist.

"Our main goal with Eurotix is to make an album we'd enjoy listening to ourselves. We're in this for the love of synthpop, to have fun. And if others like it too, that's a big bonus!"

The debut single, I Plead Insanity, has just been released digitally. It was the first song Larry and Dennis recorded together, so it holds a special place in their hearts. The maxi-single also includes a remix of the title track, an Army of Lovers cover and the exclusive B-side "Replay".

"I Plead Insanity” is out now on:

  • top 10 álbuns de 2013

    25 dec 2013, 08:16 av guilhermecu

    Meu primeiro post aqui o/

    10. "Hail To The King", Avenged Sevenfold.

Minhas faixas preferidas são Beyond, Contact e Doin' It Right.

    5. "Trouble", Natalia Kills.

    4. "Delta Machine", Depeche Mode.

Depeche Mode é a melhor banda eletrônica que eu conheço. Reis do eletrônico e synthpop, simples assim. Desde 2009, com o álbum Sounds of the Universe, eles "atualizaram" o seu som, assim continuando ótimos. Destaque para as faixas Alone e Soothe My Soul, minhas favoritas do álbum.

    3. "Party Never Ends", Inna.

Minhas faixas favoritas são J'Adore, INNdiA, Be My Lover e Energy.

    2. "ARTPOP", Lady Gaga,

Talvez o melhor álbum pop do ano...

    1. "True" - Avicii.

Favoritas: Liar Liar, Dear Boy, Lay Me Down, Hope There's Someone, Wake Me Up, etc.

Royal Canoe is a group of musicians on a mission to construct ambitious, inventive music. The songs are thick with catchiness, rich in rhythm and are consistently pushing against the boundaries of pop music.

The two were dating sisters and resented the forced time they were expected to spend with one another, until a conversation stumbled upon their mutual obsession with the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland. Zach was so preoccupied with ghosts as a kid that he was put into therapy, and Ryan parents moved out of his childhood home because they believed it was haunted. Neither of them had really outgrown their fascination with ghosts, monsters, graveyards, zombies or anything deathly. Once they realized their shared affinity for the eerie, they started trying to write a theatrical monster ghost love story for the stage. They decided that this story should have music so they began learning how to play various instruments. By the time they had written their first few songs they realized how difficult it would be and how much money it would cost to create the show. They decided to continue with the music and put the play aside.

Kodaline is a Dublin-based Irish alternative rock quartet. Originally known as 21 Demands, the band made chart history in March 2007, when their debut single “Give Me A Minute” topped the Irish Singles Chart; becoming the first independently released track to achieve the feat. In 2005 the band participated in the irish competition called ‘You’re a Star’ and managed to come in seconds place and then in 2011 they changed their name to Kodaline.

Growing up in houses just two minutes away from each other in Swords, a working class town near Dublin airport, Steve Garrigan and Mark Prendergast met aged eight, when they were the only boys in the school choir. Skip forward six years and they recruited Vinny May, also situated a stones throw away and together set about forming the first of myriad bands. The line-up for Kodaline was recently completed by the addition of bassist Jason Boland. The band’s name, incidentally, means absolutely nothing.
