Hello, I'm New to this forum ;and website. I find it hard to get my hands on dT albums and have managed to get Six degrees and awake. Ive been looking for scenes for a memory but cannot find it (many say its their best album) I would be very happy if someone could upload it to megaupload or some other site for me! thanks :)

Puppies on acid and Overture 1928...

  • Erotomania, because of the overtly sexy riffs.

Although I also really like Stream of Conciousness and Hell's Kitchen as well.

  • Anyone heard Eve? It's off the Cleaning Out The Closet album and was an outtake from the Awake album. Anyway, that is probably my favourite instrumental closely followed by Stream Of Consiousness.

That bass line in the middle of Stream of Conciousness is awesome, though.

    1. Ytse Jam
    2. Erotomania/Instrumedley
    3. Stream of Consciousness.

I like Ytse Jam because of the keyboard and bass solos. It might not be the most technically proficient instrumental DT does, but it sounds great.

  • that's a tough one...erotomania is great, i love the really odd time signatures-stuff

for the sake of going for a classic i'd say ytse jam

  • There is nothing like The Dance Of Eternity. Portnoy's Drum Solos are also gorgeous.

    I'm behind your wildest thoughts...
  • instrumedley

hej. well I think instrumedley plays big part of all the instrumental songs of the band, I like all instrumental song of dream, so I think "all" the instrumental are good as unique.

    #1 Acid Rain
    #2 Instrumedly
    #3 Stream of Conciousness/Yste Jam

"Vacant/Stream of Conciousness" because it's very well put together and rocking, IMO.

  • Dance of Eternity without a doubt. That song is how I define DT. I would've said Streams of Consciousness right after I got ToT, but after only a few listens, the repetition started to bug me, so I actually usually skip that track now.

  • Overture 1928 tis amazin!, but then again, so are Stream Of Consciousness and Acid Rain

    I had to quote it.

My only question is: how can instrumedley be put into the same category as these other instrumentals if instrumedley is just a combination of all of them?

    Erotomania
    The Yste Jam
