  Hey, be honest, what is on the same level as amarok? On windows? Foobar? Winamp? Mediamonkey? Jajuk? On Mac? Itunes? Amarok is the app why I stay on linux... I still use 1.4.10, but I'm already testing 2.2.0 on kunterbuntu.. :-) I still like 1.4 more (because of musicbrainz integration) . Amarok is still competible.

  Hey guys, I made the switch to Windows 7, basically bc all the time i spend fiddling around in linux was affecting my grades. Anyway, I miss amarok, big time. Is there some comparable player for Windows that anyone knows of (I mean, one that uses a playlist instead of iTunes retard alphabetical method, and not WMP). If you have any good suggestions that aren't iTunes, Songbird, WMP or Foobar2000, send me a shout!

  SaberGun: turn off kdewallet. System settings>tab advanced>KDE Wallet> and uncheck KDE wallet subsystem (something similar to this)

  lol I had the most annoying problem with amarok on karmic when I ran it for the first time I saw the kdewallet prompt and in a careless act closed the window, then it stated that my last.fm pass would be in plaintext because of this, and I clicked cancel. from then on my last.fm wouldn't scrobble at all. restarting amarok doesn't re-prompt, I think I got lucky in terminal by using locate wallet* and running a few bins then opening amarok

  Last time I tried 2.0 it was awful, maybe I'll give 2.2 a try. I hope that I can do that without losing my collection database or mysteriously upgrading it so it can't operate with 1.4 anymore.

  i am going to join the many users in not liking A2... maybe I'll try again in six months. I am back with a 1.4 that can't get album covers. Amarok 1.4 is the best piece of software I've ever seen, actually.

  I was using version 1.4 for a long time now cause 2.0 was quite buggy. Today I gave 2.2 a try and I'm absolutely amazed! Keep up the good work!
