    A thesis by Jayaism

It was weird. I liked it.

    The End.

Lit crit ain't my strong point. Thats unfotunately what my papers boil down to, usually.

    I plot for a living.

Are all of his drugs about heroin? (books i mean. god...) I read Naked Lunch and felt obliged to complete it but was rather repulsed by the majority of it.

Ooops. Freudian slip or something eh... It's a lot less surreal than Naked Lunch, and deals mainly with the title subject, so.... yeah, I think a lot of his work is influenced (haha.) by opiates, I haven;t really read much else by him other than Naked Lunch...which was very strange, and I think it had a similar effect on me as it had on you, although it was..... interesting. I was intruiged by what I've read about his stuff (reviews 'n shit) that made me pick it up in the first place. Kerouac is next on the list.

  • I actually haven't read in awhile, but I'm about to start Krik? Krak! by Edwidge Danticat for English. That should be interesting.

  • I am currently reading Gregory Maguire's Wicked: the life and times of the wicked witch of the west. so far it's my favorit book

  • Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser

  • Merrick by Anne Rice

  • Oh.. and I just bought the novel One by Richard Bach which I think I'd finish first before Merrick..

I am currently reading the worst book I have ever payed money for. I bought it in my local ASDA supermarket for £3 and something pence. It is "The World According to Clarkson".
I enjoy the BBC 2 show Top Gear(I think it recently won a European(?) tv award and Clarkson is an amusing irreverant part of the proceedings.

However his book is a compilation of short articles taken from The Sunday Times - a paper I do not take. Back to back the wit dulls with its repetitive grumpy old man schtick.

As a week long cure to insomnia I recommend it.

I just read that. Sooo good. And we read Ceremony in English and I read Slaughter House 5 on my own. As disparate as the three are, as post-WW2 books, I think they've got a lot of really interesting similarities.

  • Currently reading some book about grids and usability. Another one about the war.

Quote me, it makes me feel special | But Nicole's lips bothered me the most

I'm reading "Language Change: progress or decay" for my linguistics class. It's alright. Has a few points of interest in a sea of dullness.

Besides that, I just finished the graphic novel "Blankets" by Craig Thompson. очень хорошо. Very horroshow ;)

Robert Jordan - Knife of Dreams
Bernard Cornwell - The Bloody Ground
Peter F Hamilton - Judas Unchained
    Tad Williams - Shadowmarch

Alternate between them, depends on my mood, usually have 3 or 4 books running simultaneously.

  • I'm working on reading every Sherlock Holmes adventure. I already read the four novels (Valley of Fear, The Sign of the Four, A Study in Scarlet), and am about halfway through the adventures and memoirs.
