    Irish team to honour victims of Loughinisland shooting at Euro 2012 match with Italy

    The Irish team will wear black armbands during its match against Italy at Euro 2012, to commemorate the victims of one of the worst atrocities of the Troubles.

    It will be the first time such a gesture has been allowed at a major international soccer tournament.

    UEFA gave the go ahead for the gesture after the FAI, which had been approached by the victims’ families, sought permission
