    It may be massively popular in Europe, but the Brisbane installation of Creamfields only occupies half the Showgrounds area and looks miniature compared to the raging human sea that was Stereosonic. Nonetheless, the stages' close positioning means we're free to wander around and check out what's on without making too much effort.

    Minimal house hasn't made a festival transition in Australia yet, meaning Sandwell District's deep-groove tunes feel like they would be best enjoyed at a club. After a while, we make way to the Cream stage where Skazi holds court. Assisted by additional musos, the Israeli psy-trance stalwart and Infected Mushroom buddy cranks up relentless rock-doof, culminating with his remix of 'shroom's festival anthem I Wish.
